Combined PESCI course preparation
The METC Institute combined PESCI course (PESCI103) combines both the PESCI Interview Preparation Workshop (PESCI101) and the PESCI Interview Preparation Online Course (PESCI102) to deliver a comprehensive approach to the development of clinical communication and presentation skills needed for a successful outcome in the PESCI.
Completion of this course allows comprehensive preparation and extensive development of core skills needed for a thorough preparation for the PESCI Interview. These are life-long skills advantageous to good medical practice. The course allows candidates to gain unique insights into the PESCI and to experience first-hand typical scenarios and interview panels that are routinely encountered in the PESCI Interview.

The overall Course Objective of the PESCI Interview Preparation Combined Course (PESCI103) is to provide doctors with the relevant clinical communication skills necessary for an exception performance in the Pre-Employment Structured Clinical Interview (PESCI). This will be achieved by facilitating the development of the following clinical domains necessary for good clinical practice:

- Familiarity with Social & Cultural Issues and Australian Language Idioms
Combined PESCI course structure
The PESCI Interview Preparation Combined Course (PESCI103) consists of two course subjects:
- PESCI101 – PESCI Interview Preparation Live Workshop
- PESCI102 – PESCI Interview Preparation Online Course
PESCI101 – PESCI Interview Preparation Live Workshop
PESCI101 is conducted in a live setting and commences with an instructive tutorial on the PESCI, with discussion of specific strategies and preparation advice. This is followed by a hands-on workshop, with actual clinical scenarios and personalized feedback provided by our expert course facilitators. All clinical domains will be comprehensively assessed with specific strategies provided for improvement.
PESCI102 –PESCI Interview Preparation Online Course
PESCI102 consists of 10 Online Modules that include interview scenarios written and prepared by consultant senior medical doctors with first-hand experience, expertise and insights into the PESCI and Australian medical practice.
