Achieving entry into undergraduate medicine is about more than UMAT – students must perform to the highest standard in their Year 12 studies.
To aid in the maximisation of performance in both Year 12 and UMAT, the METC Institute offers the UMAT & Year 12 High Achiever Program. This program is by application and competitive selection only and provides students guidance through both their Year 12 science and all sections of UMAT. Like other METC Institute Guaranteed Entry streams, the UMAT & Year 12 High Achiever Program offers students who complete the program guaranteed entry into undergraduate medicine. In the event that a student fails to enter undergraduate medicine, they will be promoted to the Platinum Program in the GAMSAT stream at no cost (normal course fee $3688)
