METC Institute Department of General Surgery.

The METC Institute Department of General Surgery is operated by experienced consultant General Surgeons from around Australia.

The department provides educational opportunities for all stages of surgical career development. Pre-surgical hospital doctors and unaccredited registrars can enrol to receive training and guidance to aid their progression onto the Surgical Education and Training (SET) program.

For those already on SET, or working as specialist surgeons, the METC Department of General Surgery offers opportunities for further development via Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) approved continuous professional development (CPD) programs, and surgery specific conferences.
