METC Institute Department of General Surgery.
The METC Institute Department of General Surgery is operated by experienced consultant General Surgeons from around Australia.
The department provides educational opportunities for all stages of surgical career development. Pre-surgical hospital doctors and unaccredited registrars can enrol to receive training and guidance to aid their progression onto the Surgical Education and Training (SET) program.
For those already on SET, or working as specialist surgeons, the METC Department of General Surgery offers opportunities for further development via Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) approved continuous professional development (CPD) programs, and surgery specific conferences.

Excellence in International Medical Education
The METC Institute is operated by doctors, for doctors/future doctors. Each and every course is designed by medical professionals including Professors, Medical Directors, and practicing Consultants.
The effectiveness of preparation METC educational services is outlined in the success of previous METC Institute cohorts. In addition, all METC Institute tutors and lecturers are carefully selected and score-qualified.
All programs offered by the METC Institute involve in-depth, comprehensive preparation and are suitable for students wishing to perform at the highest level.
